The European Cricket League is the Champions League of European cricket. The domestic league champion clubs from the International Cricket Council (ICC) member federations of Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Russia and Spain compete to be crowned the “Kings of Cricket” in the ECL as Europe’s premier club competition.

In the short term, the ECL is focussed on shining as the highlight of the European cricketing calendar. In the long term, the team’s target is for cricket to become Europe’s number one summer bat and ball team sport. The ECL strives to ignite club and grassroots cricket around Europe, motivate current cricketers in Europe to play today, and inspire parents in Europe to introduce their children to cricket to help grow the game tomorrow.

The 2019 edition of the ECL (ECL19) was viewed on live TV & streamed around the world in over 120 countries in more than 140 million households by over 40 broadcasters.
